Vintage holds 2 exploration licences overlying the Gawler Craton and the Arckaringa Basin. The Gawler Craton is the oldest and largest geological province in South Australia and hosts the source and mineralisation for many of the South Australia’s largest mineral deposits, including the Olympic Dam IOCG deposit.
Fertile basement rocks of the Gawler Range Volcanics and Hiltaba Suite granites provide a rich source of lithium, uranium and associated elements, while extensive historical petroleum data confirms the presence of basin-scale fluid pathways capable of transporting these metals into structural traps.
Vintage has acquired the licences for a modest work commitment with the intention of applying proven principles of petroleum systems analysis to identify zones where minerals have been mobilised, transported and concentrated into potentially economic deposits. Priority targets for exploration include lithium, uranium and sedimentary copper and other critical minerals.
